Why Blue Prawn?
So why the strange name then?
It’s always great to reminisce and we love to skip merrily down memory lane whenever we are asked to explain where our name came from, so are you sitting comfortably?
There was no scouring through name books back then, we had made our choice way back and just like the conception, was aided by several strong drinks from Belgium. There were no regrets the morning after, just excited and nervous planning for the imminent birth. We didn’t just want to come up with a name that was quirky, it had to mean something and be a reflection of what we would stand for. But why a blue prawn? Basically we aim to challenge the norm and try to cooo people into thinking differently.
It’s good to question things, to think outside the box. There are millions of pink prawns out there, all wriggling around doing their stuff, and all much of a muchness. But we are fresh, cool and different and perhaps just a little bit odd. We think being individual is a good thing though, and that's how we treat all our customers. You will never find us churning out the same old stuff. We put our brains, heart and soul into every job and our customers can tell the difference!
